Shear stress:- 

When a body is a get to two equal and opposite forces that are acting tangentially, which results in body get shear off and stress induced, named as shear stress.

Shear stress = Shear strain × modulus of rigidity or shear modulus.

Mathematically,

 = shear stress;
  = shear strain;
G = shear modulus or modulus of rigidity.

Unit of shear stress is N/mm2

Shear strain:-
